3. Information we collect

We collect information in three main ways:

3.1 Information you provide directly

You may choose to provide information such as:

  • Account and booking details: information you submit when you request a discovery call, free session, or program information.

When you visit the Site, we may automatically collect certain information using cookies and similar technologies, for example:

  • technical data, such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and approximate location;

  • usage data, such as pages visited, time spent on pages, links clicked, and referring pages.

We use this information in aggregated or pseudonymized form to understand how the Site is used, improve content and user experience, and maintain security.

3.3 Information from third parties

We may receive limited information from:

  • email marketing providers (for example, whether you opened an email or clicked a link);

  • analytics providers (for example, [Google Analytics] or similar tools);

  • advertising platforms, if we run campaigns that send visitors to this Site.

This information is usually aggregated and does not identify you by name.

  • strictly necessary cookies that are required for the Site to function;

  • performance and analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the Site;

  • preference cookies to remember your choices;

  • marketing cookies or pixels (for example, [Meta Pixel] or similar) to measure and improve our advertising, if used.

Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before using non essential cookies and will give you a way to change your cookie preferences. You can also control cookies through your browser settings by blocking, deleting, or restricting them, although this may affect how the Site works.

Details of the specific cookies we use may be provided in a separate cookie notice or banner.

5. How we use your information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • To schedule calls and services: when you request a discovery call, free consultation, or ask to be contacted about coaching.

  • To send newsletters and updates: if you sign up, we may send you news, articles, offers, and resources. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the link in each email or contacting us.

  • To comply with legal and regulatory obligations: including recordkeeping, tax, and responding to lawful requests from authorities.

  • To protect our rights: including detecting and preventing fraud, misuse, or security incidents and enforcing our terms.

Legal bases under GDPR

When GDPR applies, we process personal data collected through the Site on the following lawful bases:

  • Your consent: for newsletters, certain types of marketing, and non essential cookies.

  • Contract or steps before entering into a contract: to respond to your requests for information about coaching or to schedule a call.

  • Legitimate interests: for basic site analytics, security logs, and improving our content and services, where these interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.

  • Legal obligations: for complying with applicable laws, including tax and regulatory reporting.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time for future processing by contacting us or using the provided unsubscribe tools.

6. When we share your information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

  • Service providers: such as website hosting, email marketing services, analytics providers, payment processors, scheduling tools, and IT support. These providers are only allowed to use your information to provide services to us and must protect it appropriately.

  • Professional advisers: such as legal, accounting, or insurance advisers, where needed for our business.

  • Public authorities: where we are legally required to respond to lawful requests, court orders, or regulatory inquiries.

  • Successors: if all or part of our business is reorganized, merged, or transferred, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.

For coaching clients who use our secure portal, information sharing is further described in our NPP and client forms.

7. International transfers

We operate primarily from Canada and the EU and may use service providers in other countries, including the United States. This means your information may be stored or processed outside your home jurisdiction.

When we transfer personal data from the EU or EEA:

  • transfers to Canada are covered by the European Commission’s adequacy decision for organizations subject to PIPEDA;

  • transfers to countries without an adequacy decision (such as certain providers in the United States) are supported by Standard Contractual Clauses or other appropriate safeguards where required by law.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that any international transfers of personal data comply with applicable data protection laws.

8. Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.

Examples:

  • contact forms and email inquiries are generally kept for up to 2 years after our last interaction, unless needed longer for legal purposes;

  • newsletter subscription data is kept until you unsubscribe or we close the list, plus a short period to maintain suppression lists;

  • technical and analytics logs may be kept for shorter periods, usually from a few months up to 2 years, depending on the tool.

We may retain information longer if necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including:

  • secure hosting environments;

  • encryption in transit where feasible (for example, HTTPS on the Site);

  • access controls and limited access to personal data within our team;

  • security updates and monitoring.

No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact us immediately using the details above.

10. Your rights

Your rights depend on where you live. Regardless of location, you can contact us to:

  • ask questions about how we use your information;

  • request access to the personal data we hold about you;

  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.

If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK, you may also have, subject to legal limits:

  • the right to erasure of your personal data;

  • the right to restrict processing;

  • the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing;

  • the right to data portability in certain circumstances;

  • the right to withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing already carried out based on consent).

If you are in Canada, you may also:

  • challenge the accuracy and completeness of personal information and have it amended as appropriate;

  • challenge our compliance with PIPEDA or applicable provincial privacy laws.

If you are in the United States, your rights will depend on the state in which you live and the laws that apply to our activities. In some states, you may have additional rights such as the right to request details about how we use and share your personal information, the right to request deletion of certain information, and the right to opt out of certain types of targeted advertising or “sale” of personal information. We do not sell your personal information for money. If you are a resident of a US state with such rights and you wish to exercise them, please contact us using the details in section 14 and specify your state of residence and your request; we will respond in line with applicable law.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 1. We may ask you to verify your identity before responding.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, such as:

  • your local supervisory authority in the EU or EEA;

  • the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your provincial privacy commissioner;

  • the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the UK, if applicable.
